Music For Lent, 2016 (Day 41)

In keeping with the theme that was emerging last week (before St. Patrick stepped in), here's another setting of the wonderfully Lenten motet, "Crucifixus." This time, from the fellow I mentioned on Friday, the Italian Baroque composer Antonio Caldara. (Also, playlist).

Crucifixus etiam pro nobis sub Pontio Pilato:
Passus, et sepultus est.
He was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate:
He suffered and was buried.
