Today's Short Captures An Eerie (Yet Familiar) Exodus

Some really great world-building and character design on display in this one. Plus, it comes with a "Making Of" video (which is the kind of thing that I always enjoy), and an offical production blog (which is French, so I can't quite appreciate it as much as I'd like.) Luckily, the high number of creators involved means there are a couple of non-French ones, as well.

The story's pretty basic (and predictable), yet powerful; there's something both primeval and Biblical about it. And the music (from Yuichiro Maeda) is pitch-perfect.

A march ends; a journey begins.
One march ends, a journey begins. In a desert land, the last breath of a giant creature spurs the exodus of an entire people. Directed by Kathleen Cartier, Sandrine Gimenez, Nicolas Mrikhi, Baptiste Roy, Thomas Saez.
