In Today's Podcast, I Recklessly Court Controversy. Then, I Try To Make It Go Away By Distinguishing Between Quality And Resonance.

The fact that Miller's Crossing is my Favorite Mob Movie doesn't mean that I think it's better than The Godfather. Just that I like it more. Will that distinction keep me out of trouble in this case? Probably not. But the distinction itself is a valuable one, I think. (Also, here's next week's teaser. I'm really curious as to whether or not anyone will get it.)

Favorite vs best;
Godfather I & II are not favorite (or best);
"All their wars are merry and all their songs are sad;"
Now where are those pitchforks?
