Today's Short Film Doesn't Have An Obvious Storyline, But It's Definitely Telling A Story

Matte and concept artist Pau Minguell's "Drylands" feels more like a collection of beautifully-shot moments than a traditionally-structured short, but there's definitely a story in there--one of the oldest ever told.

"A solitary shepherd is taking care of his flock.  As the night descends, the animals notice something strange".
Drylands captures the mood of a typical dry and austere landscape of a Catalan region and how a traditional shepherd wanders in it. Over a little line of story, the short film explores the silence, the darkness, the solitude and the relationship between human and nature.
