I'll be honest: My interest in Blade Runner 2049 is tied primarily to the fact that it's shot by Roger Deakins and that its trailers make it look amazingly beautiful. What it's not tied to? Any attachment to the original (which left me pretty cold).
More honesty: This short clip is probably the best material I've ever seen from Dave Bautista (who leaves me pretty cold). Intense stuff from Luke Scott (Ridley's son), and while it's nothing more than a shiny tease, the literary reference made me particularly curious.
I hope that's a theme they explore.
